BECOMING MYTH II: THE AUTO-ETHNOGRAPHIC STUDY OF A YOUNG ARTIST AS SCHOLAR
This 2 day performance was done in my office at Mt. Holyoke College's 5 Colleges Women's Studies Research Center during my fellowship. The performance was based on research I was doing for a treatment on women of color in academia. One of the reoccurring comments in case studies was how women felt like objects on display. Following my public lecture on my findings, I asked the public to come to my office and observe me work. People visited for a period of 4 hours a day and watched me as I made masks out of the paper I had presented of my research. I video documenting my observing visitors can me seen here: video
