Online, a work by artists Francheska Alcantara and Alicia Grullon, is an active meditation on connection and its challenges during a global pandemic. Shot in the Bronx where both artists are based, the piece looks at two subjects arriving at and sharing space through play. Attempting to fly a kite together, the piece becomes a reflection on infallibility as COVID 19 has moved us beyond what we knew as normal. It questions what is on the line for each of us to reach out, move and build together.
