North Bronx Collective
Image from our 2021 Indigenous People’s Day water walk through the Northwest Bronx initiated and conceived by collective member Francheska Alcantara. The walk ended at Van Cortlandt Park, where an activist read the names of the enslaved African and Indigenous people of Van Cortlandt Plantation, and a community meal at the African Burial Grounds. We put together Land Liberation is Water Liberation: Poems for Water distributed during the walk.
