Like a Slow Walk With Trees- exhibition and works
13 Photographs (6 photolithographs and 7 archival digital prints) and text-based works incorporate documentation from worker strikes and interviews alongside contemplative references to James Boggs’ “An American Revolution: Pages from a Negro Worker’s Notebook” (1963). Juxtaposing self-portraits in animal masks or black and white images of trees with text, the works layer selected quotes from interviews in the news from workers on strike framing broader systemic critiques, emphasizing the cyclical relationship between work and resistance.
