2011
For Performa 11, I invited audience members to create individual protest signs and picket with me. In this way, I wanted to tie the history of El Museo del Barrio, founded under protest of community wanting a fine art institution to reflect their history and the protests occurring at Zuccotti Park for Occupy Wall Street at the time. The performance lasted 2 hours.
